"NXT changed the trajectory of our lives. I know that’s a big statement, but I wholeheartedly believe it. It was by chance that I found NXT Wellness—a well-placed business card and the courage to make the call led us to Dani and her team. Way back in 2021, when my son Mike was still a teen, I started to worry. Worry about what his future would hold. And, moreover, worry about what kind of community I was building for him when I’m gone. You see, Mike has intellectual challenges and level one autism. To put it simply, he’ll need lifelong supports.
When I reached out to Dani, I wasn’t even sure what I was asking for. Something for him that wasn’t video games. A support network for him. For me? And boy, did I receive all those things in spades. Mike is 20 now, and I can’t believe the young man he has grown to become. Mackenzie, Alli, Luci, Ellen—these extraordinary coaches have guided Mike’s growth and helped him continue breaking through barriers in his own time, with patience and grace. Dani and NXT have been such a gift to our family. I can’t imagine our lives had we not found that business card so many years ago.
